Dear Hammer Head:

I am thinking about remodeling my master bathroom and I am overwhelmed.   I have a small budget.  Will I get a decent return on my investment?  What projects should I consider?
Signed,

Dear Confused:

There are several things you can do within a small budget.  Most bathroom remodels have a 98% or higher rate of return on investment.   If you have large full wall mirrors, you can remove them and install newer framed mirrors.  You can upgrade your shower to a European heavy glass shower door for around $600.  Another inexpensive option is to change out dated hardware to a newer finish.  There are many flooring options that are textured, with neutral color choices that are timeless.  Counter tops are a quick and easy upgrade.  There are many natural and recycled options available.  If you are planning to resell, creating a clean, crisp spa-like feeling in your master bath appeals to a broader range of buyers.  Many of our member contractors and associates can help you make this happen.
